UAE fuel prices fall for November 2026, ending three consecutive months of increases. From November 1, motorists across the country pay less for every grade of petrol and for diesel, with petrol down 24 fils a litre and diesel down 5 fils.

Super 98 now costs Dh4.16 a litre, down from Dh4.40 in October. Special 95 falls to Dh4.04 from Dh4.28, E-Plus 91 drops to Dh3.97 from Dh4.21, and diesel is priced at Dh4.75, down from Dh4.80. The new rates apply at fuel stations across all seven emirates throughout November, with the next monthly review due at the end of the month.

What happened

The UAE Fuel Price Committee announced the November rates on Saturday, October 31. The decision reverses the direction of the past three months, when prices rose in August, September and October. Petrol is down by about 5.6 per cent compared with October, while diesel is down by about 1 per cent.

The cut comes even though international crude prices climbed sharply during October, with Brent approaching $120 a barrel. The committee has not published a detailed breakdown of the factors behind the November reduction, and a single day’s crude price does not by itself determine the following month’s pump price. Refined-product prices and wider market conditions also feed into the monthly calculation.

UAE fuel prices for November 2026

Fuel November 2026 October 2026 Change
Super 98 Dh4.16 Dh4.40 Down 24 fils
Special 95 Dh4.04 Dh4.28 Down 24 fils
E-Plus 91 Dh3.97 Dh4.21 Down 24 fils
Diesel Dh4.75 Dh4.80 Down 5 fils

How much will motorists save?

For a 60-litre tank, the petrol cut is worth Dh14.40 compared with October. A 60-litre fill of Special 95 costs Dh242.40 in November, against Dh256.80 in October. The same quantity of Super 98 costs Dh249.60, down from Dh264, and E-Plus 91 costs Dh238.20, down from Dh252.60.

A driver buying 240 litres of petrol a month saves Dh57.60 at the new rates, assuming consumption stays the same. Diesel drivers save less: Dh3 on a 60-litre fill, reflecting the smaller 5-fils cut.

What the cut does not change

November prices are still above September levels. Special 95, for example, cost Dh3.69 a litre in September, so a 60-litre tank still costs Dh21 more than it did two months ago. October’s sharp rise, when petrol prices jumped by roughly 16 per cent against September, has only partly been reversed.

Prices also remain well below the records set in July 2022, when Super 98 reached Dh4.63 a litre, Special 95 cost Dh4.52 and E-Plus Dh4.44. After the November cut, Super 98 sits 47 fils below its record, Special 95 is 48 fils lower and E-Plus is 47 fils lower.

How UAE fuel prices are set

The UAE reviews retail fuel prices once a month. The Fuel Price Committee sets the rates in line with movements in global fuel prices, with distribution costs added, and the rates are approved under the Ministry of Energy’s framework. The system replaced the price freeze in place during 2020, which was lifted in March 2021 as global oil prices recovered.

That monthly rhythm is why pump prices can move even when crude moves the other way in a single week: the committee looks at average market conditions over the review period, not one day’s trading. Fuel prices had last fallen in July 2026, after rises in April, May and June, before climbing again from August.

Why it matters

Fuel is a recurring household expense, so even a 24-fils change adds up over a month of commuting, school runs and deliveries. For businesses running vehicle fleets, the diesel cut is smaller but still trims operating costs. The November relief also matters for sentiment: it breaks a three-month run of increases that had pushed prices close to their 2022 records.

The wider picture is less settled. Brent crude was heading for a fourth consecutive monthly gain at the end of October, and uncertainty over Middle East supplies and shipping costs remains. That leaves December’s review open in both directions, and motorists should not read one month’s cut as a guarantee of further falls.

Timeline

  • March 2021: The UAE lifts its 2020 fuel-price freeze and moves to monthly reviews.
  • July 2022: Super 98 hits a record Dh4.63 a litre; Special 95 reaches Dh4.52 and E-Plus Dh4.44.
  • July 2026: Fuel prices fall, the last cut before the autumn rises.
  • August to October 2026: Prices rise for three consecutive months, with petrol up about 16 per cent in October alone against September.
  • October 31, 2026: The Fuel Price Committee announces the November rates, cutting petrol by 24 fils and diesel by 5 fils a litre.
  • November 1, 2026: The new rates take effect across the UAE for the whole month.

What happens next

The November rates stay in force until the next review at the end of the month, when December prices will be announced. If global oil prices keep climbing, the committee could raise rates again; if markets ease, further relief is possible. Motorists filling up in November pay the rates in the table above regardless of daily crude movements during the month.
